A+B+C=D,A是特色,B是位置,C是技術,D是綜合設計。

Design Concept - Program Concept Development

My goal is to use the original animals and soils on the riverside to develop a community farmhouse that combines leisure and entertainment, and become an animal and plant park with farmland. At the same time, water and plants will be used to improve water quality, and a public space that is intimate with nature will be provided to the public.

The design aim is to use animals and plants to improve water quality and beautify the environment, providing residents with environmentally friendly and comfortable leisure and entertainment space. The design has three goals:

Preserving the flock - using farm manure instead of chemical fertilizer to develop community farms
Increased biological filtration system - uses the characteristics of natural water filtration of plants and animals to reduce the pressure on the drainage system
Reduce impervious paving - replace environmentally-friendly materials, sand or native turf, and accelerate the penetration of rainwater into the ground

Previously analyzed the local strength and weakness crisis of the Indus River, with reference to similar case studies in China, and also learned about the design strategies mentioned in the small summary after the official water conservation guidelines developed by Hong Kong public institutions:

Keep the river along with the open space
Keep local farmland
Keep the characteristic shepherd
Keep local solar street lights
Add a punching hot spot suitable for the image
Demolition of concrete in the open-air parking lot on brownfield
Add a system for recycling sheep manure
Get rid of the flood-proof hard shore within the park
100% invasive coverage
Widely planted to adapt to seasonal flooding of native vegetation
Use the perennial ornamental grass landscape with a rich rural flavour
Is to renovate or install a water saving device
Monitor water consumption by water meters
Choosing a water-saving irrigation system
Installation of rainwater collection and washing wastewater recycling system

I decided to piece together the design strategies I summarized earlier. This is my own design formula: A+B+C=D, A is the feature, B is the position, C is the technology, and D is the comprehensive design. In this way, the design direction with local characteristics and green buildings is obtained:

Shepherd + farmland + installation rainwater collection and washing wastewater circulation system = drip irrigation farmland can be infiltrated
Solar Street Light + Riverside + Water Saving Irrigation System = Public Monitoring Water Meter
Brown concrete + flood control hard shore + vegetation + ornamental grass = punch hotspot

In this way, three design priorities are reached. The first picture is in my mind. Sixty sheep graze and beat in the fields. A scarecrow is irrigating in the field. The scarecrow is actually a box for water-saving irrigation systems. The fields grow flowers of different colours, and some fruit trees, flowers, birds and fish feel. The second picture is in my mind. It is a solar street light on the riverside. There are water meters under these lights. The third picture in my mind is the broken brown concrete. This is like the huge stone sarcophagus randomly placed on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. There are birds on it and some aquatic plants.

I hope that the riverside park in Hong Kong will give people a feeling of freedom and harmony. The grass can be stepped on, the sand can be played, the ball can be kicked, the dog can run, the kite can be placed, and the marshmallow can be placed.

design

Sustainable agricultural facilities
Fanling North Central Park is a unique, self-sufficient, riverside park that combines community farming in recreational, educational and natural ecological projects. An experimental farm was set up in the community to promote the "community of sheep, fish and vegetables" in the community.

Located in Wutong River, Sheung Shui
Fanling North Central Park is located in the new development zone in the northernmost part of Hong Kong. The purpose is to preserve the landscape of the former farmland and to use the natural filtration system to purify the riverside water quality. Connect people to the mountains and rivers through the rural landscape of the park.

Self-sufficiency
Use the original natural resources of the river to improve the environment:
low-carbon life - encourage people to go out and reduce their carbon footprint by widening and beautifying the cycling and footpaths on the riverside.
Ecological floating field - Reduces river water pollution and improves water quality through the cooperation of oyster shells, fungi, aquatic plants and field rafts.
Sheep Park - Through the decomposition of sheep's excrement compost, using wastewater instead of chemical fertilizers to educate citizens about farming knowledge.

community
Fanling North Central Park uses the fresh food of the community farms to closely connect the residents, encourage the citizens to step into the public space to adjust the farming, and break the gap between people in the city. Fresh food can also be provided to the residents of the district.

Landscape architecture design
The balance between development and conservation The
the design concept of cross-parallel lines stems from a vision of the balance between development and conservation. From the past two parallel lines to the modern intersection, it represents the progress of the smart city. In addition, the use of natural resources along the river to develop a pleasant low-carbon living space.

garden
In line with the theme of the New Territories North District Greening Master Plan, "Jinxiu Shanhe", the use of colourful and eye-catching plant varieties creates a welcome feeling. In addition, aquatic plants will be planted to purify water. It is hoped that the vast landscaped area will be complemented by a variety of perennial native plant species and flowing water bodies that are rich in rural flavours, creating a tranquil landscape of mountains and rivers in the noisy city.

Environmentally friendly materials
Energy-saving glass - The exterior of the facility is mainly made of glass with high heat efficiency, making the interior warmer and brighter.
Environmentally Friendly Plastic Wood - The facility replaces natural wood with environmentally friendly plastic wood that is easy to maintain and contains recycled materials.
Concrete Bricks - The driveway of the facility is paved with environmentally friendly concrete blocks containing recycled materials.
Squatter Materials - Recycling of iron and wood from old squatters for horticultural works and furniture in the park.

Design element
Multi-functional facilities
Turn waste into energy - worm fish and sheep symbiosis system
Leisure activities - cycle track
Education - Community Farm

Turn waste into energy
Sheep worm symbiosis system:
aquatic plants + oyster shells + gravel + ridges = purified river water
purified river water + soil = grass
sheep feed + sheep = sheep
manure sheep manure + earthworm = fertilizer
fertilizer + farmland =
crops + people = money
